Grand Entrance with Stairs

Before:   there was a bland entrance that neither said, “Welcome, ”nor reflected the homeowner’s taste.

The Luxury Home Solution:

  • Paint the walls in Sherwin Williams 6142 Macadamia latex flat paint.  This provided a much deeper, rich color for the walls throughout.
  • Install new treads and risers for the stairs.  The riser is a 2x2 travertine tile.  The tread is cherry with Jacobean 2750 Minwax stain for a rich espresso color finish.  
  • The new chandelier from also fits the Mediterranean theme and provides the necessary lighting for the entry.
  • Columns and plantation shutters were added to match the rest of the house.
  • The elevator was added to this area with matching Jacobean stain and travertine tiles, with a tile design inset floor to complete the “welcome” area.
